Program features
The core curriculum is comprised of information management courses and is strengthened and balanced by technological integration courses, while theory and practice are aligned in ways to guide students toward conducting practical research and application of information technologies and management theories.
Curriculum
Emphasis is laid on the acquisition of knowledge about the two mutually reinforcing academic domains: Information Management and Information Technologies. As theory and practice are equally emphasized in curriculum construction, the core courses have a primary focus on information technologies and management knowledge, with planning-designing- researching skills as the basis. To accomplish the program goals, advanced courses are arranged to allow and encourage students to develop their research interests and ideas.
Electives, constructed and offered primarily to integrate IT and management, include courses with a focus on advanced application of advanced information technologies, and advanced information management. Meanwhile, IT integration courses are an integral part of the curriculum.
