Objective

The program aims to educate and develop IT talents so they may positively contribute to national economic development and help advance our information industry and other related industries.

 

Program features

The core curriculum consists of fundamental math and information theories, with instruction of computer hardware knowledge playing a supportive role. The ultimate goal is to give a prospective IT professional a comprehensive education and sufficient training with which he may apply with ease and comfort in a multitude of computer application systems and web technologies. Meanwhile, to strengthen students’ R&D abilities for practical applications, every student is required to conduct and complete a special project during the senior year before being qualified for graduation.

 

Faculty

All fulltime faculty members are doctorates with expertise and academic training in IT and related fields, including software engineering, computer networks, natural language processing, imaging technology, data exploration, and discreet statistics.

 

Career prospect

The current enormous demand for IT professionals is likely to be on the increase, not only in software development or hardware manufacturing but also in virtually any business and industry where information technologies are needed to render better services or facilitate the manufacturing-production process. The biggest chunk of employment will primarily favor database program designers, web-network engineers, system maintenance engineers, MIS system engineers, and software construction engineers.
